Be sure to bring your pets to the CPE! Every event is really all about the pets with the CPE. Whether your pet family member crawls, slithers, hops, walks or swims in a portable bowl bring them along to enjoy the festivities. Just remember to bring a signed waiver with you.

This Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) licensed event is being hosted by the Aurora and District Kennel Club (ADKC) in conjunction with the Toronto Christmas Canadian Pet Expo (CPE) show. With cash and prizes on the table along with championship points, national and regional specialties and boosters; it will have the cream of the purebred dog show community in attendance. Working closely together, the CKC, ADKC and CPE are working towards revitalizing the dog show world while introducing it to a whole new audience of animal lovers.

The CPE Classic includes THREE Limited Breed Shows – Including the Canadian Indigenous Breed Best in Show, Terrier Group and Working Dog recognizing Canadas own best of breed.

Specialties being presented throughout the weekend inlcude some of the largest groups representing breeds from the world.

  Over 38 Boosters and supported entries throughout the weekend bring together an epic dog show weekend at the International Center…. All Dachshunds (Mini Longhair, Standard Longhair, Mini Smooth, Standard Smooth, Mini Wirehair, Standard Wirehair), Havanese (2), Barbet, Dandie DInmont Terriers (2), Siberian Huskies (1 Booster & 2 Supported Entries), Irish Wolfhounds, French Bulldogs (2), Bulldogs (2), Tibetan Terriers (1), Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Leonbergers, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Labrador Retrievers, Mini Bull Terriers, American Cocker Spaniels, Canadian Eskimo Dogs, Rottweilers, Great Pyrenees, German Shorthaired Pointers (3 Supported Entries), German Wirehaired Pointers (3 Supported Entries), Belgian Shepherds (3 Supported Entries)


Booked Grooming space is secured in prime locations to the rings and aisle space on a first booked basis. Each area is a 10x10 space and preferred spots for larger groups. This booking space is NO CHARGE thanks to our sponsors. However for specific needs we ask you contact us to secure your space. Grooming spaces not pre-booked are otherwise based on a first come arrival basis.

There is a limit of one (1) 10x10 spot per handler/exhibitor. Groups and those requiring extra booths are available upon request, please contact the CPE Classic team for availability.  

Complimentary HYDRO drops are provided thanks to CRUMPS. These are spaced out throughout the Grooming area to ensure lots of HYDRO drops are available and managed by the ADKC.  For those wishing to have dedicated hydro drops within their specific booths these can be acquired with a discounted install fee. Contact the CPE Classic team before Nov 10th 2018 for this request and rate.

Spa quality wash stations are available for those that wish to bath their show dogs on site. Please bring your own towels. Shampoos are provided by a show sponsor. 

Over night RV parking is available to a limited number of vehicles in a secluded area behind loading area of Hall 2. No Water or Hydro hookups are available for RV units.

The ADKC is one of Ontario’s oldest purebred dog show clubs, reinstating itself in 2017 with a group of dedicated dog show contributors. A committee built with owner-handlers, judges, breeders, pioneers of the sport and dog fanciers promoting the class of the dog show sport at the CPE Classic. Together with the CKC and CPE, the ADKC see this as an ideal venue to offer a great event that will promote dog shows and responsible purebred dog breeders while offering many educational opportunities for breeders, exhibitors with animal lovers alike.

The Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) is the primary registry body for purebred dogs in Canada and currently recognizes over 175 breeds. As a non-profit organization, the CKC is dedicated to encouraging, guiding, and advancing the interests of purebred dogs and their responsible owners and breeders in Canada and promoting the knowledge and understanding of the benefits which dogs can bring to Canadian society.

The CKC is incorporated under Animal Pedigree Act, a federal statute under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture. The organization includes approximately 20,000 individual members and over 700 breed clubs across Canada. The Club registers purebred dogs, regulates dog shows and performance events, and speaks out on major issues concerning dog ownership and the health & welfare of dogs across Canada.

The Aurora Distric Kennel Club appreciate the initiative as a club in sharing the efforts of promoting purebred dogs to not only CKC dog fanicers but the world of family pets. 

The Canadian Pet Expo is Canada’s largest pet event that incorporates the excitement mixed with participation of both families and their pets promoting responsible pet ownership. All of the CPE events encapsulate all pets to show the diversity of companionship that pets provide daily to many families.
